We make a grid-connect system easy!
If you're reading this, you've probably decided that it would be good to have a grid-connect PV system on your house. You've had a good look at the financial returns (maybe by using our grid-connect financial calculator), got a basic idea of how it works (the schematic shows a basic system) and now you're keen to go ahead.
But you're busy. You're still not quite sure what is involved, or whether your building is really suitable, or just what the options might be, and you'd quite like to have a better idea of the cost before deciding whether to proceed. Anyway, you don't have the time to search for local installation companies, or know who would do a good job and who might not. You'd like to go ahead... but you don't like the idea of the hassle involved.
Well, don't worry, because we make it all dead easy for you!
Firstly...
... we can quickly give you some basic advice: how practical it is likely to be in your case; what the financial outlay is likely to be; and what the returns are likely to be. We just need a few details about your house. Simply fill in our enquiry form - or just give us us a bell and have a chat.
Then...
... you'll know from our estimate whether you want to take it further or not. If you do, we'll ask a reputable installation company to give you a firm quote for the work. They may want a site visit, or they may be able to give a quote from the details you've already given us. We'll help you to find someone you can trust to do a good job.
Finally
... the installation company will come along and install the system! We insist that they provide a five year guarantee for the main components of the system (the panels and the inverter), and a one year no-quibble guarantee on the workmanship, so you can rest assured that in the unlikely event of any problems they will soon be resolved.
The installation is likely to take a day or two. The installers will need to do some roofing work to ensure the panel mounting frames are securely attached to your roof in a weatherproof manner. There will then be some electrical work in bringing the cables from the solar panels to the inverter, and from the inverter to the mains distribution board - this may be one or two days work for an electrician.
Once it is installed - that's it! The system will immediately start generating power as soon as the sun is out. Payments to you under the scheme are handled by your electricity supply company - so future electricity bills should be accompanied by a cheque!
