Welcome to the information pages. Profit isn't the main motivation behind Midsummer Energy - making a difference to the world we live in by encouraging sustainable lifestyles is more important to us. So we're not interested in simply flogging expensive hardware to you and making a quick buck - we'd much rather you took a bit of time to carefully consider what you need from your renewable energy system, get the most appropriate components for your needs, and be realistic about what you can expect from them.
We've taken some time to put together a number of pages on renewable energy systems, and we keep adding more. If you are looking for an energy solution for a particular application you might want to glance through the guides we're written for yachts, caravans, narrowboats, expeditions and so on. Then perhaps visit the solar panel calculator to work out roughly what you might expect your proposed system to power; and check out the wiring diagrams page to see how simple it is to wire up solar panels.
