Unisolar US64 solar panel
UniSolar are the biggest name in modern 'thin-film' solar panels, using a very thin layer of vacuum-deposited amorphous silicon to create the solar cell, rather than the big clunky chunks of silicon crystal found in older panels.
The US 64 is a tough, aluminium-framed solar panel based on this amorphous silicon technology, and is one of our best-selling panels. 'Thin-film' solar panels such as these are more efficient at low light levels than standard crystalline panels - an important feature in the depths of a British winter! The power output is guaranteed to be within 80% of its rated output for 20 years, so this panel is a great investment.
We recommend the SunSaver 6A regulator for use with this panel. If you are planning an array of several panels, the ProStar range of 15A and 30A regulators would be an excellent choice.
