This HRS913 regulator should be wired between a Rutland 913 24V wind turbine and a battery bank in order to prevent overcharging of the batteries. Regulation is achieved by pulse-width modulation, and the turbine is slowed down by the regulator as the batteries reach full charge.
Up to 100W of solar panels can be connected to the HRS913 in addition to the turbine itself. However, the regulator is fully diode protected to allow charging from other sources as well, such as a larger solar array, an alternator or mains battery charger.
This unit is rated for use with 24V systems.
