The carbon fibre in the plates of Elecsol batteries makes them stronger, lighter, and better able to stand deep discharge than conventional leisure batteries. Although slightly more expensive, they are well worth the extra cost as they will last typically three times as long!
Elecsol batteries can cope with high rates of discharge, so can be used as engine starting batteries as well as for domestic power use - and are an ideal choice for use with inverters.
110Ah batteries are a very popular size for narrowboats, yachts, and caravans. Normally 2 or more batteries will be connected in parallel to increase the capacity of the bank. For 24 volt systems, simply wire two of the batteries in series.
The dimensions of the 110Ah battery are (LxWxH): 353 x 175 x 190 mm. Batteries are shipped direct from the manufacturers - delivery time is usually around one week.
